STAY TUNED FOR OUR 2026 RETREAT. Work in Progress…

“When one realises that our many thoughts of anger and desire,
which churn the ocean of Samsara,
are devoid of any self-nature,
everything becomes a land of gold, my child”.
– A Song of Niguma –

This year’s retreat will be focussed on the profound teachings of Niguma, the renowned 11th-century Indian yogini and one of the most revered female masters of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
Though little is known about her life, Niguma remains a powerful symbol of realisation.

We will explore Niguma’s yoga system through detailed breathing and meditation instructions designed to dissolve habitual patterns and cultivate a clear mind.

This retreat is open to both new and returning students. Whether you are encountering Niguma’s teachings and the Tibetan Heart Yoga system for the first time or you are deepening an ongoing practice, this is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a timeless tradition that continues to offer insight and transformation in the modern world.

In the supportive and contemplative environment of the Tannenhof Temple, we will dedicate time and space to practice, reflect, share the experience of transformation.

The Tibetan Heart Yoga system is based on ancient Buddhist Wisdom rooted in a lineage started by Master Naropa and Niguma, yogis who lived around 1100 AD.
A combination of modern and ancient yoga asana (poses), together with their corresponding meditation, will guide us towards cultivating virtuous states of mind and heart.
We will work with Inner and Outer Methods, practicing from the inside with our thoughts, intentions and ethics, and from the outside with our asana and breath.
Yoga goes beyond being merely physical exercise; it reaches the state of a transformative practice.
During our Yoga and teachings sessions, we will be exploring several aspects of Buddhist Wisdom and Yoga: Compassion, Wisdom and the understanding of our Mind’s own Nature, Inner Fire, the Five Vayus, the six Elements.

What to expect of this year´s retreat:

  • To expand our knowledge about the Yogini Niguma.
  • To deepen our Yoga practice through Asana, Pranayama and Meditation based on the Tibetan Heart Yoga system.
  • To get more in touch with our Essence by connecting with our physical as well as subtle body through deep Yoga, and Meditation practices.

  • To review the alignment of some Yoga Poses.
